I decided to do my #meettheartist so you can get to know me a little better and understand where my inspirations come from. 😍

First of all, my name is Caroline, but everyone calls me Carol. I'm Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Communication - Journalism for two years and I worked in the field before becoming an illustrator.

Currently, I mainly work as an "agent" for my husband, who is also an illustrator. I look for jobs, do prospecting and publicity, and also do some freelance translation work. After leaving my last job as a journalist, I decided to focus 100% on illustration, and I've been on this journey for about a year and a half now.

I've always been passionate about books, from a very young age, and I use this universe to nurture my ideas and inspire me in all aspects of my life. I think I was born an artist; I've always liked to draw, but I had never invested in it like I do now. I also love video production and editing and being creative. If I find something interesting, I will definitely try to do it (and many things seem interesting to me).

I'm a huge Star Wars fan and try to have as many Grogu items as possible. My collection is growing; who knows, maybe one day I'll break a record.

I'm passionate about cats, especially my Mulan. I always dreamed of having a cat and can't imagine my life without her. She has a temperament very similar to mine; we're irritated at similar levels, but it is even more visible.

Recently, I became a k-pop fan and I'm loving being a dedicated fan. In my adolescence, I wasn't a fan of anything specific, so it's really cool to use this universe as a reference for my art and to fill my days with laughter and good music.

I use all my passions to compose who I am as a person and artist; it's all a big composition in the end.

I mainly work with a graphics tablet and Photoshop, but I really want to try creating art on an iPad or tablet in the future.
